My boyfriend and I make a great pair romantically. But we also love getting our hands dirty on some home projects. Our skills in regards to those also compliment each other because I’m decorative and can come up with the bigger ideas. Then my boyfriend does all the technical and carpentry work to execute the ideas. I don’t’ think that we could both achieve nearly all of this stuff without the other. Therefore we make a great pair!

We were using some spare time when we were bored to look up some ideas on what we should do for our next project when I ran across some info on Air Conditioning. We don’t have a HVAC system in our home, and I think that it’s about time. So I think that we’re going to get it.

I’m so excited about this TV stand that we’ve worked on together. I came up with the idea of adding some accent trim to the table and I think that it looked really great so far. It definitely looks custom because of the trend and it looks like it was pretty expensive!

Starting a small business is hard enough without trying to do it in the most competitive city in the world. My husband took a job in New York last year and I obviously moved along with him, meaning all my plans for my cake store had seen moved to New York as well. I tried to do everything by the book, setting up T1 Manhattan for the office and hiring a great small business attorney and even buying an unlimited subway pass all of my workers but it’s really difficult how much competition there is here. We moved here from a small town in Texas where I would have been the only cake store and now that we are on Broadway I feel like there’s a store every 10 feet and offer something similar to what I have. I guess the key Jeremy a successful small business is being able to handle challenges like this so I’m actually going to start baking gluten-free and vegan cakes to try to break into a new market.

I really love my Dish Network and it’s because I waste so much time watching reality TV! I know I should be doing something more productive with my time but guys, have you seen Teen Mom lately? It’s the best show on television if you ask me. I think that Leah is my favorite because she’s just so tragic with all her eye makeup and all her trailer talk – I also really like Macy but she’s on the original series and not on Teen Mom 2 which is what’s been airing recently. I just thank my lucky stars every day that I wasn’t a teen mom myself – I still don’t have kids and I’m 30 years old! I know I’m too old to be watching reality shows on MTV but you know, at the end of the day I don’t think it matters what type of show you like, just that you watch them. It really relaxes me to feel like I’m better than the people I get to watch on TV!
